Manchester City Walks
In historic cities, even buzzing modern places like Manchester, buildings and streets can tell fascinating stories. The building types, architectural styles, street names and layouts say a lot about what the people of Manchester did in the past, about how Manchester saw itself and its place in the world and how it became the place it is today. In this annual series of walks architect Ken Moth takes us through different parts of the city centre, from the humble to the majestic. As Ken says, “exploring the past helps to explain the present and even illuminate the future”. He reveals some amazing facts and stories on the way. Places are in high demand for these monthly tours. Held on a Friday afternoon you’ll be amazed the hidden gems you pass every day! The walks usually end up in one of Manchester’s more colourful and historic taverns for a hearty meal and a pint or two. What better way to end the week whilst still making contacts! A fantastically intimate networking experience. Why not consider sponsoring a walk in the future especially if it passes your office or building? We may be able to incorporate a quick tour or drop in for refreshments.
