Co-operative Finance Academy pro.manchester is supporting the development of the City Academy for Finance & Business Services which aims to raise the aspirations, educational attainment and vocational skills of young people. Plant Hill School in Higher Blackley will open as the Co-operative Academy in 2010 and in the meantime has been nominated by the future committee as pro.manchester's CSR project. The Academy will offer the Business & Finance Diploma which will provide an exciting programme of learning for 14-19 year olds. Click here for more information.
Careers Events Attracting and retaining the best graduates into the sector in Manchester is one of pro.manchester's core aspirations. Members will be invited and kept informed of careers events, placement opportunities and graduate fairs throughout the year.
GMSA pro.manchester is working in partnership with the Greater Manchester Strategic Alliance (GMSA) so that members can advise universities and the higher education sector about their future skills needs.
The GMSA works in collaboration with universities and colleges in Greater Manchester, helping them to develop relevant and up-to-date programmes to improve the skill levels of graduates and non-graduates in the workplace. They can link members to relevant education and training courses, including short modular courses, delivered and accredited by the universities in Manchester. www.gmsa.ac.uk
