Adele Edgar joins pro.manchester team as skills and education manager
Adele Edgar has been appointed as skills and education manager at financial and professional services organisation, pro.manchester.
Formerly working as a leadership and management adviser for Business Link North West, Adele will lead on pro.manchester’s strategic commitment to strengthen links between professional services and academia, develop skills for business and attract and retain graduate talent in the city region.
Working with the pro.manchester team, Adele’s previous experience as business development manager at Greater Manchester Strategic Alliance (GMSA) means she is well placed to build strong links with higher education establishments.
With a proven track record in the skills and education arena, Adele is keen to use every opportunity to promote skills development to pro.manchester’s membership and drive the relationship between education and the F&P sector.
Commenting on her appointment, Adele said: “This is a great opportunity to cement links between the two sectors and make communication channels simpler between skills providers and members.
“My understanding of higher education, funding and training will help members and institutions to work together for mutual benefit to enhance skills in the sector.”
