Describe your day job
As a consultant architect for Sheppard Robson I draw on experience, knowledge and contacts gained in over 30 years as a Partner in the practice. Much of my work is now outward facing, client contact and client care, covering all property and construction sectors including Commercial, Offices, Interior Design and Fit Out, Urban Regeneration and also particularly Education, Science and Healthcare. Split evenly between public and private funding I operate down to the Midlands, up through Scotland and sometimes internationally. Within the office I have been encouraged to mentor a number of staff providing preparation, presentation and networking support.
Biggest professional achievement
Helping found and develop the Manchester office of Sheppard Robson in 2000, growing from 0-75 staff currently.
If you weren’t in your current profession what would you be?
A surgeon. My wife is a doctor and our youngest daughter is training as a doctor.
