Chairman calls for city to embrace its enterprising spirit
Looking out over a city that has experienced economic turbulence in the past 12 months, Sue Webster addressed members of pro.manchester at her official reception at the Bridgewater Hall.
In a speech capturing the reality of the challenges that lie ahead, Sue also urged Manchester’s professionals to be buoyed by an optimistic and enterprising approach. Her speech reiterated the need to seize opportunities that already exist on our doorstep – our thriving creative industries, world-class event hosting capabilities, large scale regeneration and international knowledge bank.

Members turned out in full force for the evening. An evening which, true to our city spirit, was defined by a ‘can do’ attitude and a gutsy determination to innovate, reinvent and do things the Manchester way.

We've uploaded some pictures from the evening. Click here to see if you can spot yourself or someone you know!
For your diary Sir Howard Bernstein will be addressing members at an exclusive lunch on 29 October 2009 at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate starting at 12.30 – places will be confirmed on a first come first served basis.
