Intelligence is our greatest asset, says North-West Corporate Finance advisor, Ford Campbell
It seems that Ford Campbell; the North West’s leading independent Corporate Finance advisor, is putting this asset to good use, as the Firm has just completed its fourth business sale this month. Chris Froggatt, partner at the firm’s Manchester office, believes the growing strength of Ford Campbell’s Intelligence team has significantly driven the firm’s success.
He says: “In all of the business sales we have completed so far this year, our intelligence team has provided an invaluable tool in finding the buyer. Upon meeting with our research team and understanding the depth of our team’s sector knowledge, clients are more than satisfied that we will be able find them a special buyer and maximise the value of their business.”
Ford Campbell’s success follows the rise in the use of independent, boutique advisory firms in M&A transactions. More than half of all M&A transactions in Europe last year involved an independent advisor, which was a first according to data provider Dealogic.
Independent firms earn their stripes by offering pure, un-conflicted advice, which is both trusted and favoured in the wake of the financial crisis. Smaller, independent advisors have not suffered the loss of reputation as some of the larger, full financial service firms.
Ford Campbell’s four completions this month are a clear indication that the strength of the independent advisor will continue to grow. Chris Froggatt comments “we have had a great first half to this year, due to the drive and commitment of both the origination and execution sides of our business.”
“We have eighteen live deals in our pipeline and are continuing to see owner-managers with quality businesses and realistic price expectations, looking for an advisor they can trust. Our knowledge and experience places us in an excellent position to maximise value for these business owners, despite the continuing uncertainty over the economy.”
“Planning your exit strategy and selecting the right advisor has never been more important.”
