What's involved?

The duration of the mentoring relationship and the frequency and location of meetings is to be agreed by both parties. Typically a relationship will consist of a monthly meeting lasting one to two hours over the course of 9 – 12 months. Pairings are matched mainly on the basis of learning needs of the recipient against areas of expertise and experience of the mentor and support is provided to the pairing on an ongoing basis. Mentors are recruited on a volunteer basis and there is no charge for eligible people to receive mentoring.
