pro.manchester on track for a great year

pro.manchester is a great organisation, with a great executive team and I, as Chief Executive, have a great job.

It's now almost 200 days since I took on the role of Chief Executive and it has been great fun all along the way.

In that time, we have reorganised the management team and the board, introduced many new initiatives including MPEG, WAM, SPRIG, BEG and much more.

This month we publish for the first time our organisation and strategy map. OS mapping is a technique developed for the MBS MBA Strategic Management Module.

At first sight, the map may look complicated but it is focussed on three central lines, the exec. team, the board line and the committee line, the latter links the five committees. There are two main lines, membership and business development and several branch lines including the city family, the events line, the conference line, international line, UNI line (the skills and education programme), CORE the outreach programme to the corporate sector and MPEG, the focus of our corporate finance activity.

In July, the Business Angels conference is comng to Manchester, in September, the BVCA conference will arrive and in March 2011 we are planning our big Financial and Professional Services conference at Manchester Central. It is going to me a great year for pro.manchester, make sure you are travelling on Network Rails
