launch of pro.women initiative proves great hit!
This week saw the launch of new discussion group, pro.women, aimed solely at female professionals in the City Region. The sell-out event provided practical advice for women on how to network and build meaningful business relationships, from Tracey Pye, the only female partner at accountancy firm BDO.
Through a series of events, pro.women aims to tackle the issues affecting women in business and offer an invaluable resource for female professionals wishing to gain further skills.
Adele Edgar, pro.manchester’s skills and education manager, said of the event:
“Judging by the response we had to the launch event, there is definitely a need to pull together the female professionals working in the City Region and allow them to exchange and share ideas. Women will be influential to the recovery of the economy, so we wanted to use the group to connect professionals in the region.
“We have a full events schedule in the upcoming months, which all aim to give female members the necessary tools to gain a competitive advantage in the workplace.”
