“Star Individual” takes Silk

St Johns Buildings is delighted to announce that Sally Harrison, an ancillary relief specialist, has been awarded the title Queen’s Counsel in today’s “Silk” announcement.

Harrison, who was recognised in the 2010 edition of Chambers and Partners, the influential guide to the legal profession, as a “Star Individual”, is believed to be the only 100% ancillary relief practitioner to take silk within a group of only 6 family specialists who have been awarded the mark from the 129 successful applicants.

Having handled a selection of the most valuable and high profile divorces in recent years, including C v C [2007] EWHC and a number of cases involving sportspeople and celebrities, being awarded the rank of Queen’s Counsel is recognition of the quality of Sally’s practice and ability.

Miss Harrison commented “I have been very fortunate to work with some excellent people, both solicitors and clients, on a range of fascinating and challenging cases. The quality of this work has enabled me to successfully apply for silk and I am delighted to have been awarded the rank of Queen’s Counsel.”

Michael Redfern QC, the Head of St Johns Buildings Chambers stated “Sally is an outstanding practitioner who fully deserves this honour. She has long been recognised as a leader in her field and is a match for any ancillary relief practitioner in the country. This award further strengthens our position as a competitor for any Chambers in the country”
