The future relating to Brexit is still uncertain however one option to stabilise  your business in the EU could be to set up camp there!  Join us for this fascinating session looking at why, how and where to set up a business base in Europe.  Is it as easy as it seems and what could it mean for your business.

This session will cover:-

About the Speakers:

Sharon Collier -

Sharon started her career in tax with MacIntyre Hudson before spending 15 years with the Big 4 accountancy firms (PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Anderson/Deloitte). Sharon then moved to Malta, where she worked for a further 10 years.

Whilst in Malta Sharon spent a large proportion of her time advising on international structuring and trusts, her final position being as director and MLRO of a Trust and Corporate Services Company.

Sharon returned to the UK in 2014 and worked with a boutique tax consultancy before joining the ETC Tax team in September 2016, where she heads up ETC’s international offering.

Sharon is both a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Her areas of expertise include:

  • Residence and domicile
  • Moving to and from the UK
  • Estate planning and Inheritance Tax advice
  • Employee share schemes
  • Employee ownership
  • Start-ups, reorganisations, exit and succession strategies
  • R&D tax
  • Tax efficient International structuring – expansion overseas, treaty shopping etc
Paul McKay -

A vastly experienced tax professional with over 35 years’ experience of advising PLCs, not for profits, but predominantly SME/OMBs on most aspects of tax. Paul has a broad tax background having previously worked for the big 4 accountancy firms, tax boutiques and a large local tax practice. Most recently Paul has specialised in all aspects of corporate and business tax. Paul joined ETC Tax in October 2017 and heads up its corporate tax offering.

His areas of expertise include:
