Sunday, 10th September 2017

When it comes to creative, digital and tech, Greater Manchester is home to some of the UK’s most impressive agencies. Renowned as the UK’s second largest creative, digital and tech hub across Europe after London, the digital and creative sector has been the single fastest growing sector in GM. The region currently hosts between 7,500 and 8,000 digital and creative businesses.

To maintain GM’s proud creative, digital and tech scene, Andy Burnham launched the digital summit, which aims to lay out the city’s ambitions, sustain the regions tech reputation and spark a new digital revolution.

To support the on-going work of the Digital Summit, last week creative pro-manchester in partnership with MPA (Manchester Publicity Association) held an engaging panel discussion and roundtable event ‘The Future of Creative and Digital’. The event, aimed to continue the dialogue and progression around GM’s Digital and Creative industry’s, brought together an industry expert panel; Erica Ingham- MediaCom North, Mikael Hellberg- Access to Music, Matt Hunt- Apadmi, Paul Allen- SI Partners and Sian English, Seventy7 who chaired the event.

Sponsored by SI Partners and hosted at MediaCom, the event sparked numerous discussions around the challenges and opportunities available for the sector in GM. Key topics of discussion included; talent, culture, heritage, diversity, recruitment and transformation.
