New consultative service supports firms in gaining valuable insight around employees and their general workplace engagement
ALF Recruit, the specialist finance and accountancy recruitment partner, has launched ALF Retain, a new consultative service designed to help organisations strengthen, develop, and retain their best people.
The introduction of ALF Retain completes the firm’s evolved service model: Search. Recruit. Retain.
Its launch recognises a clear shift in employer priorities, from simply attracting talent to actively retaining and engaging the people who drive the business forward. Long-term success increasingly depends on keeping the right individuals in place.
ALF Retain delivers consultancy services and tools enabling business owners to assess the elements of their workplace that are empowering their team members to thrive, as well as highlight the gaps in their strategies. The firm says this is critical to enabling business stakeholders to future-proof their teams and protect the value of their existing workforce.
Director and Founder of ALF Recruit, Gavin Reynolds said of the launch:
“We believe recruitment should enable growth, not simply replace people who, with the right adaptations, could have been retained. Businesses are under real pressure to maximise the capability of their existing teams. As a result, client expectations are shifting. They want a recruitment partner who helps them grow, not just fill gaps.
“ALF Retain is our proactive, people-first response. It’s enabling employers to make their workplace a quality working environment for their teams.”
The new service is already being utilised by a number of ALF Clients including Studholme Bell, the chartered accountancy and business advisory practice. The firm used the ALF Retain consultancy service to gain valuable insight directly from their team on the elements of their workplace that was making their careers thrive, as well as enriching their own internal appraisal process.
Managing Partner at Studholme Bell Richard Barnes shared:
“We used the ALF Retain offering as an alternative to the traditional appraisal style, we found it much more effective and it helped us better understand the real sentiment across our team. The feedback was open, honest, and incredibly valuable, giving us a clear picture of what mattered most to our people. That insight allowed us to address key themes quickly and positively, reinforcing trust and engagement across the business.”
Gavin Reynolds added:
“That’s our ‘Search, Recruit, Retain’ model in action. Hire right the first time, help our clients retain their best talent, and be there to support them with the future hires that take them to the next level.”
As economic pressure continues to reshape workforce priorities, ALF Recruit says ALF Retain will form a core part of its proposition in the months ahead, offering firms a structured way to safeguard skills and stabilise teams. Further developments to the service are expected later this year.
