pro-manchester is thrilled to announce the appointment of two new team members as part of our ongoing growth and commitment to delivering even more value to our members and partners.

Melissa Wong — Programmes & Events Manager

We are delighted to welcome Melissa Wong as our new Programmes & Events Manager, a newly created role at pro-manchester that will see her lead our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) programme alongside the pro-manchester Skills Academy.

Melissa brings a wealth of events experience across a diverse range of sectors, including climate and sustainability, commodity markets, legal and media. Throughout her career, she has combined strong stakeholder management, community engagement and operational leadership, making her ideally placed to shape and grow two of our flagship initiatives.

Her passion for creating meaningful, impactful programmes, across both commercial and non-profit environments, will be instrumental as pro-manchester continues to innovate and support businesses across the region.

Zafia Marria — Marketing & Communications Apprentice

We’re also excited to welcome Zafia Marria to the team as our new Marketing & Communications Exec, undertaking a Content Creator Apprenticeship.

Zafia joins pro-manchester with a keen interest in digital content, storytelling and brand engagement. In her apprenticeship role, she will support the delivery of compelling content across our digital platforms, help grow our social presence and contribute to the marketing and communications activities that connect our work with members, partners and the wider business community. With a focus on developing creative communication skills and practical marketing experience, Zafia’s role reflects pro-manchester’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent.

Driving Growth — Now Recruiting a Sales Manager

These two new appointments reflect a period of growth for pro-manchester as we expand our programmes and deepen our support for business in the North West.

To support the next phase of our development, we are also seeking a Sales Manager to help drive engagement with new and existing members and contribute to our growth strategy.
