Deloitte Digital is inviting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to attend an exclusive virtual workshop focused on understanding the implications of the Procurement Act 2023 and its impact on public sector contracting.
Taking place on Thursday 19 March 2026 from 12:00 to 13:30, the session will provide practical guidance to SMEs navigating changes introduced under the new legislation, which reforms public procurement processes across the UK.
The workshop, titled Understanding the Procurement Act, is designed specifically for SMEs that provide goods or services to the public sector. It will explore the background and objectives of the Procurement Act 2023, outlining the key reforms and what they mean for businesses engaging with public sector buyers.
Attendees will gain insight into:
- The rationale and strategic aims behind the Procurement Act 2023
- The major changes introduced under the new rules
- How these changes affect SME participation in public procurement
- New transparency requirements and how public sector opportunities will be advertised
- Emerging themes for SMEs from the Government’s 2025 consultation on the future of public procurement
The session will also address how SMEs can adapt their internal processes and bidding strategies to align with the updated regulatory framework. With a renewed focus on transparency and accessibility, the Act is expected to reshape how suppliers identify and compete for public contracts.
Deloitte Digital says the workshop aims to equip SMEs with the knowledge and confidence needed to continue identifying and securing public sector opportunities under the revised system.
The event will be delivered virtually, and interested participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their place.
