New Carbon Literacy for Staff Engagement Training Launched to Support Business Climate Action

2nd March 2026, 7:23 am

A new training opportunity designed to help businesses engage their teams in climate action is being offered this March with “Carbon Literacy for Staff Engagement”, an accredited course delivered by Green Economy that aims to equip hospitality and service sector professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand their environmental impact and take meaningful steps to reduce carbon emissions.

The online sessions, running on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 March, will cover climate science, carbon impacts relevant to workplace operations, and strategies for motivating colleagues across departments to pledge actionable carbon-reducing practices — all within a collaborative learning environment where attendees can work together toward measurable carbon footprint reductions.

Participants who complete the course will receive an official Carbon Literacy Trust certificate, marking their commitment to sustainability and positioning their organisations to progress towards becoming formally recognised Carbon Literate Organisations.
