The Menopause Charity

Founded in 2020, The Menopause Charity exists to improve understanding of menopause and its impact, and to support the physical and mental well-being of people affected by it. We provide clear, trusted information and practical guidance to help people recognise symptoms, understand their options and make informed choices about their health and well-being.

We work to raise awareness of menopause and related conditions, and how these can affect health, work and daily life. We listen to women and individuals experiencing menopause, as well as health professionals, workplaces, and communities, to create inclusive, relevant, and tailored menopause information. Through collaboration and evidence-informed insight, we aim to reduce stigma and support more informed, confident conversations about menopause.

Health inequalities mean that not everyone experiences menopause in the same way or has equal access to information, care and support. The UK has one of the largest women’s health gaps internationally, and many women and individuals experiencing menopause continue to feel unprepared, unheard or unsupported. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to maintain well-being throughout midlife, no matter who they are or where they live.

We are the first menopause charity to secure PIF TICK accreditation. This means our menopause information meets nationally recognised standards for trustworthy health information. Our work gives people confidence that the information they receive is accurate, balanced and evidence-based
