Introduce yourself

Hi, I’m Janet, and I’m the Marketing and Regional Programmes Manager at pro-manchester. Thrilled to step into this new role! I previously supported the team as Events and Marketing Executive, which gave me a fantastic foundation and insight into the impact of our work across Manchester.

Three words that describe pro-manchester

Resilient. Inclusive. Unstoppable.

One thing people don’t realise about what we do

While many people know us for our Manchester city-centre events, we also deliver events across Greater Manchester, that’s Bolton, Salford, Stockport and Rochdale, and we’re now placing an even greater focus on these boroughs.

So, if you’re based there and haven’t been able to join us before, we’re bringing pro-manchester to you.

What is the best part of working with the Manchester business community?

I get to meet people from a wide range of professional backgrounds and industries, which means I’m constantly learning something new. The variety of events we deliver keeps things exciting, and as a bonus, I get to experience some nice venues without the fear of “maybe not liking them”! It’s a great perk of the job… and there are quite a few I happily return to in my own time.

Coffee order or go-to lunch spot in Manchester?

Tough. It depends on my mood.

Favourite pro-manchester event and why?

The MiMA Awards have definitely been a highlight. From the scale of the event to the opportunity to dress up, the energy in the room is amazing. Most importantly, it’s about celebrating the achievements and that’s special to be part of.

What excites you most about the future of pro-manchester?

We’re steadily becoming a household name across Manchester, and I’m here for it!
