Napthens is a multi award‑winning, full service law firm supporting businesses and individuals across the north west and beyond. With more than 30 partners and over 300 colleagues, we deliver legal services from seven offices across the region: Preston (head office), Liverpool, Manchester, Blackburn, Kendal, Lytham and Southport.

Our Manchester office opened on King Street in November 2025, giving clients a city‑centre base. The office is led by Krista Powell, Partner and Head of the Manchester office, who has more than 20 years’ experience advising on commercial property matters. Krista acts for investors and developers across a range of sectors and has also been appointed to the Leisure Property Forum.

We are consistently recognised in the leading legal directories. In The Legal 500 UK 2026, we are ranked top tier for agriculture and estates, corporate and commercial: elsewhere in the north west, and commercial property: elsewhere in the north west, alongside further rankings across corporate and dispute resolution. We are also ranked in Chambers and Partners UK 2026, including agriculture and rural affairs and real estate, with individual lawyers recognised at Band 1.

As part of the wider Napthens Group, we also work closely with AfterAthena, our sister business. AfterAthena supports employers with specialist people services, including employment law, HR consultancy, health and safety, and business immigration.
