A New Era for gunnercooke: Firm Launches Manchester Hub at Pall Mall

Leading international law firm gunnercooke has officially opened the doors to gunnercooke House, a flagship 16,000 sq ft premises at Pall Mall, situated within Bruntwood SciTech’s sustainable redevelopment on King Street.

The move marks a significant milestone in the firm’s rapid global expansion, providing a bespoke environment designed to mirror the firm’s innovative approach to legal services. Moving away from traditional office structures, the new space prioritises flexibility, collaboration and community-building.

Designed for the Future of Work

Spanning a significant footprint in one of Manchester’s most iconic business districts, gunnercooke House has been engineered to support the diverse needs of its 600+ advisors and lawyers. The facility features:

  • The Social Club: A central hub for networking, hosting events, and unwinding.

  • Dedicated Production Studio: A high-tech suite enabling the firm to create and share multimedia content and digital thought leadership.

  • The Innovation Room: A hybrid-ready space designed to connect the firm’s international network across the UK, US, and DACH regions.

  • The Roof Terrace: A premier outdoor space offering views across the Manchester skyline.

Beyond these highlights, the office includes designated client environments, private phone booths for focused work, and varied breakout areas designed to facilitate spontaneous collaboration.

A Statement of Brand Identity

The project, which was over two years in the making, represents more than just a change of address; it is a physical manifestation of gunnercooke’s growth and culture.

“We’re so excited to welcome people into our beautiful new space; it is so much more than an office and is a real statement for us as a brand,” said Laura Jones, who led the project. “The launch is the culmination of over two years of planning, creating a completely bespoke place that reflects who we are as a business now and for years to come.”

Jones emphasised that the vision for the space extends beyond the firm’s internal operations: “We look forward to using the space to build communities that reach beyond gunnercooke and into the business, third sector, and Manchester.”

The opening of gunnercooke House follows a period of aggressive international scaling for the firm. In the past 12 months, gunnercooke has expanded its footprint in Leeds, opened a second London office in the West End, and launched new territories in Frankfurt and Chicago.

With 16 global offices now operational, the Manchester flagship serves as a cornerstone for the firm’s “people-first” philosophy, providing a sustainable and adaptable home for its growing network of legal and professional advisors.
