One of the North’s most respected property and regeneration communication professionals has joined the Manchester office of SEC Newgate.

Marking the end of an era at Just PR & Marketing, Justine McGuinn will now support clients and growth at SEC Newgate’s Northern office in Manchester.

The move recognises Justine’s desire to work as part of a bigger team with the resource and reach required by larger clients. Trusted by the UK’s leading organisations, SEC Newgate is a fully integrated corporate affairs consultancy with a network of regional offices and headquarters in London, and global reach through its offices across five continents.

Working alongside Simon Donohue, who leads SEC Newgate’s Northern office in Manchester, Justine will build on her extensive experience supporting clients across the built environment.

Since launching Just PR & Marketing 17 years ago, Justine has worked with local authorities including Oldham, Rochdale, Wakefield, Leicester and Bury councils; developers such as Amstone, Genr8, Capital & Centric and Henry Boot; and consultancies including Zerum, Renaissance, PRP, Dooley Associates and Shoosmiths.

Before launching Just PR & Marketing, Justine headed the Manchester office of FTI Consulting (formerly FD Tamesis), representing clients including Tesco, CBRE, the North West Regional Development Agency and the cities of Manchester and Liverpool at MIPIM. She was with the agency from 2002 to 2007.

Prior to that, Justine was national marketing co-ordinator at Amec (now Muse) Developments, with landmark projects included Newcastle Quayside, The Circus on Oxford Street in Manchester, Cheadle Royal Business Park and Ashton Moss.

Commenting on Justine’s appointment, Simon Donohue, Associate Director and head of SEC Newgate’s Manchester office, said:

“Justine is a brilliant addition to the Manchester office at SEC Newgate, with an enviable track record supporting the delivery of property and regeneration projects in Greater Manchester and beyond.

“Justine’s skills and profile in the industry – particularly in property and regeneration – will be an asset to the company not only in Manchester, but nationally and internationally.”

SEC Newgate operates at the intersection of business, politics, communities, markets and media, advising clients on their growth and helping protect reputations and achieve their business goals.

Specialisms include planning communications for property, energy, transport, and infrastructure developments up to and including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects; public relations; and corporate affairs.

Justine McGuinn, newly appointed Account Director at SEC Newgate in Manchester, said:

“I’m incredibly excited to be starting a new role within a great team at SEC Newgate. Not only is SEC Newgate working with some amazing clients – including Google, EDF, Vistry Group and FEC – it has been named one of The Sunday Times’ best places to work for the past three years.

“Being part of a team with national and international reach, at the cutting edge of planning communications and local advocacy, is a great opportunity to create value and deliver the best outcomes for clients.”

SEC Newgate’s team in the North is based at offices in Linley House, Dickinson Street, in Manchester city centre.
