Member Spotlight: Jamie Seddon, Head of Advisory, CloudGuard AI

16th March 2026, 9:11 pm

Introduce yourself

I’m Jamie Seddon, Head of Advisory at CloudGuard AI, where I lead a team focused on helping organisations better understand, prioritise and reduce cyber risk across their Microsoft security environments.

I bring nearly 20 years’ experience in the Managed Services space, having delivered large-scale digital transformation programmes. Over time, I was looking for a new challenge, something that still delivered meaningful, impactful change, but also contributed more broadly to society.

Moving into cybersecurity gave me exactly that.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand the real impact breaches can have, not just commercially but on the individuals within those organisations.

What drew me to CloudGuard AI was its mission to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to organisations of all sizes in a commercially viable way. That’s something I genuinely believe in, and it’s reignited my enthusiasm for work.

Outside of work, I’m always keen to connect with like-minded professionals and share perspectives on how organisations can approach security in a more practical, business-aligned way.

Career highlight

I focus on bridging the gap between technology and business outcomes, translating complex security challenges into clear, actionable strategies for leadership teams. My approach is outcome-led and grounded in real-world experience.

A key highlight has been building and shaping CloudGuard’s advisory services portfolio, developing structured “Assess” and “Accelerate” offerings that help organisations move from reactive security to proactive risk management (time is everything during a cyber incident!)

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

The access to a genuinely diverse network of ambitious, collaborative businesses across the region. It creates real opportunities to share ideas, build partnerships and stay close to what’s happening locally.

What are your priorities for 2026?

Continuing to mature advisory-led cyber services that focus on measurable business outcomes

Helping smaller organisations improve resilience against cyber threats – making enterprise-grade security practical and achievable

Helping customers turn cyber into a leadership conversation – not just something left to IT

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

Manchester is rising as a leading AI and data hub, with growing venture capital investment and a rapidly scaling talent base. That momentum is feeding directly into cybersecurity, as organisations look to adopt new technologies without increasing risk. We’ve been lucky to see that momentum translate into attracting some of the best talent across AI, data and cyber!

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Somewhere in Spinningfields! Easy to get to, plenty of great spots and a good mix of informal and professional environments. I can do cocktails or coffee 🙂

Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

We tend to have the best conversations with SMB organisations (100-500 Employees) that are growing and doing exciting things but are quietly wondering if their current approach to cybersecurity is keeping up and want to take it to the next level. It’s usually that moment where teams realise cyber has gone from something manageable in the background to something that needs focus and assurance with focus and structure.
