Introduce yourself

Hello, I’m David, Partner and Head of Office Agency at Fisher German Property Consultants, working primarily with occupiers and owners of offices and business space. I’ve worked in the commercial property sector for over 25 years advising businesses on their need for offices, leasehold or freehold requirements and workplace solutions. The primary focus is to protect their interests and minimise risk with your property strategy.

Career highlight

The most recent would be the highly successful refit of our Manchester office following a Stay or Go assessment following the merger between Fisher German and Matthews & Goodman. An opportunity to regear our lease and invest the savings secured in repurposing the workspace to create a more modern and contemporary workplace that fosters collaboration and provides a magnet for our teams to come together.

Name three words that describe your personality

Authentic, conscientious and affable.

What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?

Access to a wide range of events and insights that brings all sectors of the Manchester business community together.

What are your priorities for 2026?

To increase the awareness of what we do, who we do it for and why we do it.

What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?

The Greater Manchester Good Growth Fund – almost £2 billion of regional investment and regeneration that is specifically designed to be spread across the city regions underrepresented towns and neighbourhoods. The funding will help enable infrastructure, housing and commercial projects that in turn will keep the region growing over the next decade and beyond.

Favourite meeting place in Manchester

Current coffee shop of choice would be GRIND in the new St Michaels development

Are there any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?

Businesses that are facing lease events with the offices they occupy such as a break option, expiry or rent review that enables the opportunity to challenge the status quo and review their future occupational requirements. I would be especially interested in businesses juggling with the dilemma of too little or too much space because of unfamiliar hybrid working patterns.
