Barnabus celebrates 35 years of transforming lives with a landmark anniversary gala for Manchester’s business community

Manchester homelessness charity, Barnabus, is inviting businesses from across the city to celebrate its 35th anniversary by supporting their flagship fundraising gala that will help provide life-changing services for people experiencing homelessness.

The gala is taking place on Friday 13 November at the stunning, five-star Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Manchester city centre. Guests will step into the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, enjoying an unforgettable evening inspired by The Great Gatsby, complete with live entertainment, a gourmet three-course meal, an exclusive auction and raffle, and moving stories from people whose lives have been transformed through Barnabus’ support. To make the evening even more memorable, guests will also be able to take advantage of exclusive discounted overnight rates at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel.

The event marks a significant milestone for one of Manchester’s longest-standing homelessness charities. For 35 years, Barnabus has worked alongside people experiencing homelessness, providing both immediate relief to rough sleepers and long-term, one-to-one support into safe accommodation and independence.

The anniversary comes at a critical time. A recent report by IPPR North and Crisis warns that homelessness in England could rise by 25% by 2030 without bold action to tackle the housing crisis. Against this backdrop, Barnabus is calling on Manchester’s business community to play a vital role in ensuring local people can continue to access the support they need.

Businesses are invited to become part of Barnabus’ 35th anniversary celebrations by booking a table, sponsoring the event or donating an exclusive prize for the raffle or auction. Supporting the gala offers organisations a meaningful way to bring colleagues, clients and partners together for one of the city’s standout charity events.

Yvonne Hope, Chief Executive of Barnabus, said:

“For 35 years, Barnabus has been helping people make the difficult journey out of homelessness and move towards a brighter future. This gala is not only a celebration of everything we’ve achieved over the last three and a half decades, but also an opportunity for Manchester’s business community to stand alongside us as we look to the future.”

The Barnabus 35th Anniversary Gala Dinner takes place on Friday 13 November at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Manchester.
