Altrincham, Greater Manchester, 24th September 2026 – Top 200 UK law firm Myerson Solicitors has reported record revenue of £19.1m for the financial year ending 31 August 2026, up 9% on the previous period. The performance was achieved entirely organically, without mergers or acquisitions, despite economic uncertainty and challenging market conditions. Myerson remains independent, 100% employee-owned and based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. The firm now employs over 165 people and has 30 Partners following its latest promotion round in September. Further Partner appointments are planned in the coming months as Myerson pursues ambitious plans for further expansion.
Strong performance across business and private client services
The results were supported by strong performances across Myerson’s business and private client teams. The Dispute Resolution department had an exceptional year, with revenue increasing by 25%; both the Real Estate Litigation and Contentious Trusts & Probate departments also performed particularly well, delivering strong results.
The Private Client department also had a very successful year, driven by increased demand from private wealth clients for sophisticated estate and succession planning, including family investment companies, family offices and trust structures, alongside complex probate work. The team continues to strengthen its reputation regionally and nationally for advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on wealth preservation and succession matters. The Employment team achieved a record year. The team advises both employers and employees, with demand driven in part by businesses preparing for significant employment law reforms, as well as its recognised expertise in complex TUPE matters and reorganisations. It has also developed a niche in advising senior executives. The Corporate team advised on a number of significant transactions across a range of sectors.
Developing sectors and specialist networks
Alongside its departmental performance, Myerson continued to invest in its sector-led approach, bringing together specialists from across the firm and launching a dedicated Charities and Not-for-Profits sector. It also developed its work across key markets including Technology, Financial Services, Private Wealth, Professional Services and Agriculture. Myerson’s In-House Counsel network also expanded across the North West, bringing in-house lawyers together to share best practice, discuss key issues and build connections.
Myerson Connections, the firm’s legal referral network, has grown to hundreds of members, supported by an extensive programme of training, technical updates and events.
A distinctive employer brand
September 2026 marks two years since Myerson became 100% employee-owned. The firm welcomed 28 new starters during the financial year, while its employee retention rate increased to 90%. Myerson’s employee-owned model is an important part of its proposition as an employer, giving everyone across the firm a stake in its success and helping Myerson stand out in the competitive North West legal market.
Investment in future talent also remains a priority. This September, Myerson welcomed its fifth cohort of Legal Apprentices, providing another route for young people to build a career in law alongside the firm’s established trainee programme. The firm’s culture received significant external recognition during the year, including being named ‘Corporate Culture & Wellbeing Champions of the Year’ at the Manchester Legal Awards 2026. Myerson and its individual teams also received numerous awards, reflecting the strength of its people, culture and expertise across the business.
Making an impact
Myerson also launched Myerson IMPACT, its ESG programme bringing together the firm’s existing commitments to its people, communities, the environment and responsible business. Its first ESG Report was published during the year, setting out priorities, activity and progress and providing a framework for measuring future impact. Community involvement remained an important part of the programme. Myerson supported charities and organisations through fundraising, sponsorship and paid employee volunteering.
Richard Lloyd, Chief Executive at Myerson Solicitors, said:
“This has been another record year for Myerson and, importantly, our performance has been achieved entirely organically. To increase revenue by 9% to £19.1m against a challenging economic backdrop demonstrates the strength and breadth of the firm.
“We have seen record performances from several of our teams, advised on significant and complex work and developed our sector offering, while investing in our people and future talent. Two years into employee ownership, we are seeing how our model supports both our commercial ambitions and our ability to attract and retain talented people.
“We have significant ambitions for Myerson and see a real opportunity to strengthen our position as a leading regional law firm and a strong independent contender in the North West legal market.
“We enter the new financial year in a strong position, with further senior appointments planned and considerable opportunities ahead.”
