Where and how people choose to live and work is changing, creating new expectations of the places around them. Homes, workplaces, transport, local amenities and public spaces can no longer be considered in isolation, together, they influence where people want to live, where businesses choose to locate and how local economies grow.

With Salford and Trafford continuing to evolve, this event will look at what the next generation of successful places could mean in practice. The conversation will consider how changing working and living patterns are influencing what people need from their local area, how better connections between residential and employment locations can support businesses, and what makes a place attractive to both talent and investment. It will also explore the role businesses can play in shaping thriving local areas, giving attendees a broader perspective on how the continued evolution of Salford and Trafford could affect where people live, work and do business.
