mtb studios launches new multi-use content studio in St. John’s creative district

Manchester creative production agency moves into the city’s newest media district, joining Aviva Studios, Versa Studios, Soho House, and other leading names.
mtb studios, the Manchester-based video production company, has announced the launch of its new multi-use content studio in St John’s, Manchester’s fast-emerging creative district.
The move marks a new chapter for mtb studios as it grows beyond Campfield, the studio’s first home and the base from which it built a client roster spanning pro-manchester, Manchester Fashion Week, leading events agency Planit Live, PR agency Rumpus, and the University of Manchester.
A new home with a storied past
Bonded Warehouse carries a history as rich as the content mtb studios creates within it. Originally built as a rail warehouse, the building later formed part of the Granada Studios lot, the production home of one of Britain’s most influential broadcasters.
“Granada TV defined how a generation consumed media from Manchester,” said Josh Kelly, Creative Director & Co-Founder of mtb studios. “Digital content is the new chapter in visual media, and we’re proud to be creating it from a building that’s already played its part in that story.”
Designed for flexibility, built to last
The new studio has been designed to retain the heritage of the space while meeting the demands of modern production. The result is an environment that feels sleek without losing its warmth; a studio built for conversation as much as for content.
It’s a genuinely multi-use space, built to support:
● Podcast recording
● Long-form and short-form content creation
● Internal and corporate video projects
● Photoshoots
● Private hire for brands, agencies and creators
mtb studios’ production expertise, paired with A-grade lighting solutions, mean the space can be adapted to fit almost any brief, an extension of the “safe pair of hands” approach the studio has built its reputation on.
The studio will operate on two tracks: available for private hire, and as an added capability for the video production partners mtb studios already delivers full wraparound video content services to.
Part of a changing St John’s
St John’s has become one of Manchester’s most closely watched creative districts, home to Aviva Studios, Versa Studios, Soho House, Tesco Mobile, Booking.com and McCann. mtb studios joins a growing cluster of media, tech and hospitality brands helping to reshape this part of the city.
A move built on growth
“Campfield has served us incredibly well. It’s where mtb studios found its feet and built the relationships that got us here,” said Motayo Martin, Director of Operations & Co-Founder. “But it’s time for us to grow beyond it.
Bonded Warehouse gives us the space, the flexibility and the setting to match where we want to take the business next, for ourselves and for the clients we work alongside.”
mtb studios’ mission remains the same wherever the studio calls home: helping clients speak directly to their audiences, without the noise of traditional media in between.
Offer for pro-manchester members
To mark the launch, mtb studios is offering pro-manchester members a 10% discount on studio hire, whether used independently or alongside mtb studios’ wraparound video production services.
