Napthens celebrated a double win last night, taking home Mid-size Law Firm of the Year at the Insider North West Dealmakers Awards and Law Firm of the Year at the Insider Lancashire Property Awards.
Presented on Thursday 22nd October, the two awards put Napthens in the spotlight across both the North West’s dealmaking community and Lancashire’s property sector, spanning the transactions that help businesses grow and the projects that bring investment into the region.
The Mid-size Law Firm of the Year win at the Insider North West Dealmakers Awards adds to a year in which Experian MarketIQ ranked Napthens the North West’s most active M&A legal adviser in 2025, with 54 completed transactions. The awards celebrate the advisers and businesses behind the region’s deals. For Napthens, that work means guiding owner-managed and family-owned businesses, management teams and investors through acquisitions, disposals, investments and restructurings, supported by dedicated in-house tax expertise.
At the Insider Lancashire Property Awards, Napthens secured Law Firm of the Year following its third consecutive shortlisting. The win puts the firm’s property work centre stage: helping clients unlock development sites, secure funding and manage portfolios through advice on development, investment, secured lending, regeneration and plot sales. Beyond individual projects, the Napthens Real Estate Club connects more than 800 property professionals through insight, discussion and collaboration.
Stephen Faulkner, Managing Director of Napthens, said: “These awards are fantastic recognition of our Corporate and Real Estate teams and the quality of their work for our clients.
“They reflect the firm we want Napthens to be: ambitious, collaborative and committed to excellence, with a real understanding of what our clients want to achieve. These qualities are at the heart of our future ambitions.
“I’m incredibly proud of everyone across the firm whose hard work and collaboration have made these achievements possible.”
The double win follows two awards for Napthens’ residential conveyancing service at the 2026 Clio Modern Law Awards: Conveyancing Team of the Year and the Client Care Award (100+ Employees). These bring the story from business deals and development sites to the
people buying and selling homes, with recognition for both conveyancing and client care. Napthens was also a finalist for Regional Legal Team of the Year at the 2026 North West Rainmaker Awards, adding further recognition within the region’s dealmaking community.
There is more to come on the awards calendar, with Napthens shortlisted in four categories at the LEAP Modern Law Conveyancing Awards on 19 November in Liverpool: Conveyancing Firm of the Year – North of England, National Conveyancing Firm of the Year, Residential Property Team of the Year and the Client Care Award. The shortlist places the firm in contention for both regional and national recognition, alongside awards focused on its residential property service and client care.
Together, the awards and shortlisting’s tell a broader story of Napthens’ work across business and property: supporting owners through a sale or acquisition, helping property projects progress and guiding individuals through a home move.
