Accountancy and business advisory firm MHA, the UK member firm of Baker Tilly International, has further strengthened its corporate finance team in Manchester with three new external appointments.
Ralph Walker-Moretti, Daisy Stott and Jake Dyas have all joined the firm and will advise clients across the region on a wide range of M&A activity, including acquisitions, disposals, fundraising and valuations.
Ralph joins MHA as corporate finance manager from Azets where he spent two years in a lead advisory role in the corporate finance team.
Daisy, who takes up the role of corporate finance assistant manager, also joins MHA from Azets, while Jake joins the firm as a corporate finance executive from PwC where he was part of the firm’s audit team.
In addition to these three new appointments, Francis McGuigan recently transitioned from MHA’s audit team to take up the role of corporate finance executive within the transaction services team which is led by partner Rob Dawes. The transaction services team has grown significantly in the last year with the appointments of director Rowan Porter and assistant managers Stefan Denieffe and Andrew Heywood.
It means MHA now has corporate finance team of more than 40 people in the UK offering a full complement of lead advisory M&A services, due diligence transaction services, capital market services and valuations.
Andrew Feeke, partner and head of MHA’s corporate finance team, said: “Our growth over recent years has seen us become a stand-out mid-market corporate finance advisory firm in the UK and, as a Baker Tilly International member firm, part of a globally united team of corporate finance specialists who provide long term close support for clients, particularly on complex transactions and those with a cross-border element.
“We’re continuing to grow the team at all levels and in all our UK locations. Ralph, Daisy and Jake are talented individuals who add strength in depth and will be a real asset to our clients both in the region and as our North West team supports the firm’s wider national corporate finance offering. In addition, we have monitored the progress of Francis in his audit role over a period of time ahead of the transfer to our transaction services team and we are delighted to provide Francis with the opportunity to join the team and continue his career development within the MHA family.”
Speaking on his appointment, Ralph commented: “I wanted to be part of a growing team and work alongside highly experienced professionals who I can learn from. I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued growth of the corporate finance team, both nationally and internationally as part of Baker Tilly International.”
Daisy added: “I chose MHA because the firm has a people first culture and a strong reputation, particularly for the leadership shown by the partnership team and its specialism in corporate finance.”
Jake commented: “I’ve been impressed with MHA’s ambitious growth plans and goal to become a top 10 UK professional services firm.”
Speaking on his internal transfer to the corporate finance team, Francis added: “It’s great to be given the opportunity to join the corporate finance team after first developing my knowledge in the audit team. At MHA, I feel like there are no limits and I’m supported to develop the career I want to have.”
