About the Speakers:

Matt Fox-Rees Director - Fox-Rees Consulting

Matt is an experienced recruiter across the professional services and not for profit sector’s. An advocate for championing Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace, he offers a variety of solutions to clients across the UK and Europe.

Matt is the founder of the Jobsflex platform that launches in Summer 2025. A careers platform dedicated to promoting flexible working for all and a mentor/mentee network for those looking for support or to give back.

Helen Rendle Culture and Engagement Manager - gunnercooke

Helen is the Culture and Engagement Manager at gunnercooke, where she plays a pivotal role in embedding the firm’s culture and fostering vibrant, connected communities across its entire network. With deep expertise in cultural transformation and engagement, Helen leads initiatives that bring the firm’s values to life, ensuring they are experienced and lived by all.

Her work includes cultivating meaningful internal and external partnerships and overseeing a diverse programme of more than 150 events each year, including internal, client-facing, and online experiences, all designed to enhance collaboration, collegiality, and connection across the business.

Beyond her role at gunnercooke, Helen is also a Trustee of Smart Works Greater Manchester, where she focuses on building and delivering a dynamic fundraising events programme to support the charity’s mission of helping women into employment.

Jodie McDermott Volunteer - Barnabus

Jodie has been a dedicated volunteer with Barnabus, a local Christian Homeless Charity in Manchester, for over four years. Every week, she provides food and support to guests during the morning breakfast sessions. She has also led outreach activities and contributed via fundraising efforts and events.

In addition to her volunteer work, Jodie is the Digital Capability Manager at DWP Digital. In this role, she works with key departments to identify opportunities to leverage early career schemes and development programmes. Her work not only addresses organisational skill gaps but also creates job opportunities for a diverse range of individuals, including those from low socio-economic backgrounds
