GM Metro Mayor Hustings – Businesses
On May 2 the electorate in Greater Manchester’s will be asked to choose the City Region’s third Metro Mayor, for the 2024-28 term of office.
The University of Salford is delighted to host the pre-eminent business hustings of the campaign trail, where attendees will get to ask questions of the main candidates.
Running Order:
6-6.25pm: Arrival and networking over tea and coffee
6.25pm: Welcome and candidate introductions
6.30pm-7.50pm: Open Q&A with audience
7.50pm-8pm: closing statements from candidates
8pm-9pm: For anyone interested in networking, please join us at The Old Fire Station Brewery
Hustings present a great opportunity for candidates to engage with a particular sector to help showcase their policy direction and their understanding of matters important to the electorate, while enabling voters to see candidates up close and personal and answering their questions.
If you own or run a business and would like to ask a question on anything business related, from public transport to education and skills, from business support to business crime – and anything else in between – join us for this one-off, free-to-attend event.
This event has been organised by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the Institute of Directors (IoD), Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW), and pro-manchester, kindly hosted by the University of Salford.
