LGBTQ+ & Allies Networking

This event explores experiences of what it's like to navigate the male-dominated tech industry; and to be an intersectional identity as an international and transracial adoptee within LGBTQ+ spaces;  as well as engaging in in advocacy work across tech and Manchester. Drawing on community organising and university research into bias, implicit hate speech, and safeguarding gaps in AI and large language models, the discussion will reflect on why diversity in tech—and in the data that powers it—matters now more than ever.

Complimentary welcome drinks will be served from 5.00-5.30 followed by canapes / finger food.
