Whether you're pitching, posting, or answering “so what do you do?”, this session will help you craft messaging that’s clear, confident, and makes people want to know more.

Perfect for business owners and sales leaders who want to:

  • Sound less waffly
  • Win more attention
  • Convert more conversations into customers

By the end of the session, you'll be able to:

  • Clearly explain your offer in one sentence your target customer actually understands.
  • Use messaging frameworks to highlight results, not just features.
  • Create a short, compelling intro you can use in networking, emails, or pitches.

About the Speakers:

Nick Rose pro-manchester Chair, Director of Commercial and New Business - Sharp

Nick is an experienced sales leader from Stockport with a strong track record in business growth, leadership development, and community engagement. In addition to his role at Sharp, Nick takes every opportunity that he can to help promote sales as an inclusive profession for all, and considers the creation of Sharp’s Sales Academy graduate program to be one of his greatest career achievements.

He is proud to have served pro-manchester for close to 15 years, and is also Chair of Ignite Alliance Stockport, where his clear vision and dynamic leadership have been widely recognised for driving an ambitious SME leadership and growth programme in the region.

Nick is also known for organising F72, a charitable 72‑hour football event that broke a Guinness world record and, has helped to raise more than £100k for local charities such as Francis House Children’s Hospice.

He remains committed to strengthening Greater Manchester’s business ecosystem through collaboration, innovation, and meaningful community impact.

Away from work Nick as a proud parent, a keen runner, a Peloton enthusiast, and a bad drummer!

Paul O'Hara Director - POC Ltd

With over 20 years of strategic learning and development experience, Paul specialises in helping businesses improve leadership, team and sales performance by changing how people think, behave and apply skills in the real world, rather than relying on one-off training. His practical approach focuses on identifying capability and behaviour gaps, aligning development with commercial priorities, and embedding lasting behavioural change through coaching, real-world application and accountability. The result is stronger leaders, higher-performing teams and sustainable performance improvement.
