The Future of Primary Care Premises
You may have noticed your GP clients becoming ever more risk averse, particularly in relation to becoming property owners, tenants and particularly in relation to development and this is becoming a barrier to improving and redeveloping the primary care estate. This has also been recognised by NHS England who launched a ‘Call for Solutions’ back in August 2018 to find an answer to this problem
In this seminar we will bring together both public and private health sector experts to explore the changing policy in this area designed to support your GP clients and look at examples of overcoming the barriers across primary care to achieve practice premises that are fit for purpose, both now and in the future.
Speakers include: Jennifer Lewis, Mills & Reeve (Chair); Dr Ian Hume, BMA; Gary Swift, NatWest; and Adam Gross, CityBranch.

Citybranch was established in 1982 and is a property development and investment company based in South Manchester. Over the past 30 years, the company has acquired and developed a variety of commercial and residential projects concentrating primarily in the North West of England.
The company was formed as a long-term institutional investor but more recently acquired shopping centres as medium-term investments with greater asset management / redevelopment potential in the longer term.
In 2014, Citybranch Healthcare was formed to deliver exciting, transformational regeneration projects with the Public Sector, most notably Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) and NHS Property Services (NHSPS). A number are at the embryonic stage whilst others, such as Altrincham Hospital for MFT and a Health & Wellbeing Hub for NHSPS / CCG, are now signed, sealed, delivered and in full operation.
