Chris is an Investment Manager with extensive experience and knowledge of the Northern eco-system having previously held roles across the region with the likes of Langtons, DSW Debt Advisory, and NatWest and now drives investment activity from the River Capital Manchester office.
Chris works as part of River Capital’s North West Business Growth Loan team is and is available to discuss opportunities for SMEs looking for funding of between £100k-£500k. He has supported several Stockport based businesses including Powerhub & Framos Fabrications.

My experience spans business leadership, acquisitions, stakeholder management, operational oversight and regulatory governance, with a particular strength in navigating periods of change and transformation.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with Boards, C-suite stakeholders and advisers across a range of financial services businesses, leading projects, implementing strategic initiatives and supporting long-term business growth.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with companies of all sizes, from fast-growing startups to global enterprises. I’ve had the privilege of being part of the leadership team that launched the UK’s largest technology IPO and have held CTO roles in some of the fastest-growing companies worldwide.
Now, I’m building something even bigger—the world’s most experienced Fractional CTO team.
Ryan joined Palatine in early 2024 as Partner and Head of North. Ryan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and after 12 years in practice, at BDO and PWC he moved into Corporate Lending with Lloyds Bank and then to a Venture Debt fund in 2018 to build out their regional offering. Ryan has over 25 years’ experience supporting growing SME’s.
