How to Respond to EHRC’s consultation before 11:59pm on 30th June.

Thursday, 26th June 2025

Following the April 16th UK Supreme Court ruling, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has proposed changes to the ‘Code of Practice for Services, Public Functions and Associations’ and is holding a public consultation on these changes.

The consultation opened on 20 May, and it will close at 11.59pm on 30 June 2025.

Anyone affected, directly or indirectly, can respond to the consultation on the proposed Code of Practice changes, including trans people, the wider LGBTQ+ community, family and friends or members of the public who want to have their voices heard.

North West Trans Alliance are putting on an event this Saturday at Feel Good Club.

Saturday June 28th 10am – 4pm, Feel Good Club, 26-28 Hilton Street, Manchester M1 2EH

It will be a supportive space for people to get together and respond to the EHRC consultation together, and there will be cake provided.

Please go along if you can (with others!), even if only for 15 minutes. Some of the things being proposed could lead to severe discrimination against trans people and gender non-conforming people.
