Lifeshare

Lifeshare is the oldest homelessness charity in Manchester and has been providing frontline support to Greater Manchester and Salford since 1984. Lifeshare hosts breakfasts for rough sleepers every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday serving 300+ meals each week (more than double numbers this time in 2022). Lifeshare is also the founding member of the Manchester Digital Collective which brings together 20+ partners across GM to provide access to our refurbished device bank, data bank, and digital skills workshops. Lifeshare hosts Manchester’s only 7-day indoor holiday support when many organisations close for Christmas. Lifeshare’s Christmas Project opens from December 23rd-29th offering three hot meals a day, hot showers, dry clothes and health support from doctors, barbers, opticians, and other support services along with entertainment to bring holiday cheer and social inclusion. Demand for Lifeshare’s services has grown exponentially in 2023 due to the Cost-of-Living crisis with new faces presenting each week. The cost of services is also rising with weekend breakfast costing more than three-times 2021 costings.
