pro-manchester rebrands its successful Made in Manchester Awards alongside MediaCity based agency, LDA

pro-manchester was this week delighted to share the new branding for it’s Made in Manchester Awards (MIMA) to members.

MIMA, now its eighth year has seen a major rebrand as well as a whole refresh with the addition of four new categories, a new website and a brand-new look. A new sector is now represented in the 15 MIMA categories, as the technology industry continues to grow and develop in our region, pro-manchester believed the MIMAs needed to celebrate the vast amount of talent surrounding it.

pro-manchester worked alongside LDA, a long-standing supporter of the MIMAs, for the rebrand. LDA has worked on the event’s branding for a number of years and were the perfect fit for the job.

Events & Marketing Manager, Claire Turnbull said: “Working with LDA has been excellent. They understood the vision we had to take the MIMA brand even further forward than it was and it’s been great to hear the initial opinions on our new bold look.

“2020’s awards are bigger and better, and alongside our sector group committees we have introduced some new awards categories too. It’s a really exciting time for us and we’re looking forward to bringing this branding to life at The Principal Hotel in February 2020.”

MIMA celebrates the best of Manchester’s young business talent, up to the age of 35. The awards champion talent across a variety of sectors including, finance, legal, creative and digital, HR and more.

Lucy Perkins, Chief Executive of LDA said: “We have been brand partner of the MIMAs since conception and it’s been fantastic to see how this event has grown not only in industry support, it has now become the award that’s coveted by Manchester’s best and brightest young talent.

“The new brand needed to stand-out and be as bold and unique as each of the nominees are. We are looking forward to working with Claire and her team and developing the new look and feel for 2020 MIMAs.”

The awards are judged every year by industry experts, which will include LDA. At the 2019 awards, 21 senior level decision makers interviewed and deliberated to elect the award winners.

Entries for the coveted awards open on Monday 2nd September, but until then, take a look at the brand new website and ensure you have Thursday 6th February in your diaries for the best awards night in town!
