Holly Moore, Founder and MD of the UK’s go-events agency, Make Events, reached out to the then teenager after watching Channel 5’s documentary ‘My Extreme OCD Life’, exploring the serious impact the mental health condition has on individuals.

Holly Moore had suffered with poor mental health, however was able to tackle it and go on to grow her events agency to be the go-to agency for brands including Thomas Cook, AutoTrader and Kelloggs. Holly and William met in their hometown of Wilmslow in 2017 where Holly shared her story as well as offering support and advice for William who was determined to take his web design agency to the next level after being ‘stuck’ with the debilitating condition.

William Hale, Founder of Milkshake Creative added: “It was a great privilege to be contacted by someone as successful as Holly. I still follow the advice she gave me as it gave me the much needed kick I needed. The OCD still lingers but I can actually live a life worth living compared to a few years ago.”

Months after they met to talk about their experiences, William offered to design a new personal website and blog for free to thank her for the support which enabled William to combat the OCD, which in turn gave him the ability to expand his business, Milkshake Creative, allowing him to relocate to a new office in Wilmslow.

Holly Moore said: “I hadn’t thought of doing my own website but when Will offered to do this I thought it was a great platform for him to show his potential and also to show the positive side of mental health.”

Make Events, who provide corporate events to some of the UK’s biggest companies, have taken the industry by storm since they launched in 2012 and have recently moved into their new office space in Wilmslow. In order to give the ultimate experience for employees, clients and suppliers, Make Events’ newly dubbed ‘House of Make’ will be a collaborative, cool office designed to increase employee enjoyment, attract new talent and boost creativity.
