Alison White has joined the specialist not-for-profit team at accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers as a senior manager from Mazars, bringing with her over 30 years of experience of providing expert advice to clients in the housing and not-for-profit (NFP) sectors.

Alison will join colleagues at the firm’s Birmingham hub in The Colmore Building, Birmingham.

This is the first hub opened by Beever and Struthers, offering staff a flexible alternative to travelling to the existing offices in Manchester, London or Blackburn.

The opening of the Birmingham hub is a key part of the firm’s commitment to providing an agile and flexible working environment whilst reducing the impact of travel on the team and the environment.

Alison is the latest of several senior appointments to the Beever and Struthers’ NFP team, including internal audit director Narinder Sandher and audit partner Lee Cartwright.

The NFP team can now call on the services of 14 specialist partners and 60 dedicated colleagues to help deliver a wide-ranging service to their clients.

The growth in this team reflects the success of the NFP team over the past 12 months, seeing a 10 per cent increase in income and further ambitious growth plans.

Beever and Struthers has taken on a record number of students this year but is still looking for more staff with audit skills and experience to join various teams across all regions.

Maria Hallows, executive partner and head of social housing at Beever and Struthers, said: “Our appointment of Alison and our wider recruitment drive prove our commitment to identifying and nurturing talent and having the highest ambitions for our staff and our clients.

“We seized the chance to open in Birmingham, allowing us to provide our Midlands’ based team with the flexibility of a hub from which to work and serve clients.”
