An Introduction to IP – Patenting Software

19th February 2021, 9:00 am

In our final instalment of the “Introduction to IP” series, this webinar covers what “software” is in a patent context and the different requirements for patenting software in the UK / Europe and other jurisdictions.

Hosted by Tim Wilson, a qualified European and UK Chartered Patent Attorney and a partner at Dehns.  Tim holds a degree in mathematics from Oxford University and primarily works in the fields of computer systems, electronics, signal processing, medical technology and mechanical engineering.

He acts for clients of all sizes, ranging from individual inventors to multinationals, but has a particular interest in helping small and medium-sized technology companies.  He works closely with several start-up companies, not only drafting new patent applications but also providing strategic advice on building and exploiting an effective patent portfolio.

The information in this webinar is given as guidance. Legal advice should be sought for particular matters. Dehns accepts no responsibility for any action taken / not taken on the basis of this webinar.
