Beyond the Framework: What It Actually Takes to Keep AI Governance Working
19th October 2026, 5:28 pm
The AI policy got signed off. Then the model behind it updated without warning, and nobody checked whether that sign-off still held.
That’s where a lot of AI governance comes unstuck. Writing the framework is the visible part. Keeping it working as models change, prompts get tweaked and regulation moves is the part that decides whether it holds.
On Tuesday 10 November, The Curve is hosting Beyond the Framework, a 45-minute online panel on exactly that. The Curve’s CTO James Ridgway is joined by Alasdair Walker, Managing Director of Optimum Path Financial Planning, and Sam Newton, Founder of Gravitate Accounting, who’ll share what it’s taken to keep governance working inside their own firms.
They’ll cover the gap between writing a framework and running one, how much control over your own data and models is worth having, and what’s changed in UK regulation recently.
No technical background needed. If your organisation has a policy in place and you’re not sure it’ll survive the next change, it’s worth the time.
