Celebrating our community, our Annual Report 2021

13th October 2021, 3:42 pm

We’re delighted to be releasing our latest Annual Report this World Homeless Day, and celebrating the positive changes our community was able to make during the last year.

The report covers April 2020 to March 2021; a year in which we stayed open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, redesigned our service with people at the Centre three times and celebrated our 25th Anniversary in lockdown.

Over the year, we saw the growing negative impact of the pandemic on people’s housing situation, physical and mental health and employment prospects.

However, there were also new opportunities to influence strategic change and ensure that we have a post-pandemic world with less, rather than more, homelessness. Increased Government expenditure during the first COVID-19 lockdown showed that we can end rough sleeping if there is enough funding and everyone works together.

That’s why we are looking to the future with a new sense of optimism, despite the increased levels of homelessness that we are currently seeing.

We are more determined than ever that everyone should have a secure home and the opportunity to have a good quality of life.
