Charity Sector Leadership Course

The Non-profit sector has seen some of the biggest impacts during the global pandemic with 91% of charities reporting their business has been adversely affected. This coupled with the fact that it is increasingly hard to retain talented leaders means that the level of uncertainty around charitable and non-profit businesses is at an all-time high.

According to an article on civilsociety.co.uk, one in 100 charities in the UK closed due to covid. If that isn’t bad enough, the sector also predicts further financial turmoil due to lack of strong leadership, culture and governance disputes.

So, what do leaders need to navigate the waters as the UK and the World emerge into a new era of living with the pandemic? They need real-value tools and a skill set that offers them creative, flexible and substantial solutions to whatever they face in the coming months and years.

People need leaders that motivate, inspire and develop them. They want authentic leaders who identify and reward commitment and achievement. In short, they need leaders that will lead. Leadership is the decisive ingredient in the modern dynamic, successful business. Without great leadership, businesses will never unlock the power of their employees. Projects will never leverage optimum results and profits will never reach the levels of the global best.

Our Certified Advanced Leadership Skills program provides leaders with what they need to lead effectively, compassionately and importantly, through times of crisis. LEORON UK recognises it is difficult to finance training and development in this industry, and that is why we are offering a discounted special rate for charities and non-profit organisations.

The program includes a four-day intensive training program led by Nigel Tomlinson. Nigel is one of LEORON’s most valued trainers. His experience spans more than 35 years in international business development and his resume includes work with Sheffield Chamber, The United Nations, Word Bank and numerous multi-national companies.

Also included is a guest speaker presentation by David Heugh, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the charity sector having served in chairman, director and chief executive roles, with a real speciality in fundraising which is vital aspect of charities at any time, let alone now.

During the 5 days, delegates will have the ability to network with fellow peers all in the same sector giving further opportunities to discuss industry-specific issues, challenges and solutions.

We have partnered with a local hotel so that the rate also includes bed, breakfast and lunch in Manchester for the full five days.
