Emily Hope, a senior associate with national law firm Clarke Willmott’s housing management team, has been appointed to the committee of the Social Housing Law Association (SHLA).

The Association works to promote and develop better solutions to the legal problems faced by social landlords, and its members are made up of housing associations, housing and policy professionals, and solicitors and barristers who regularly represent social landlords.

Emily, who advises social landlord clients on all aspects of housing management including possession, injunctions, disrepair, succession, tenancy fraud and policy and procedures, says her appointment to the committee is an exciting step in her career.

“SHLA plays a vital role in furthering the interests of social housing landlords and providing a forum where its members can exchange and discuss ideas and information,” said Emily.

“I look forward to contributing my experience and learning valuable takeaways that I can apply to my work with clients.

“By working together, we can help shape the future of the sector.”

Emily has ten years’ experience in the sector and has acted for a range of regional, national and specialist Housing Providers, as well as Local Authorities. With a strong track record, Emily combines legal expertise with a flair for leadership and event organisation.
