Drawing on our white paper research, “Trends in Middle Management”, this online interactive session will explore why middle manager capability matters to strategy execution, organisational change and sustainable performance.

We will consider how capabilities such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, judgement, coaching and inclusive leadership are essential performance accelerators.

Following a presentation of the research, participants will work in action learning groups to explore a current organisational challenge, test their thinking with peers and identify practical actions to take forward.

By the end of the session, you will have:

• Understood the role middle managers play in translating strategy into action and leading change in the current climate.
• Identified how to position learning as a core investment, rather than a discretionary activity, using the research to make the business case.
• Explored a current business challenge around middle manager behaviours and performance and identified the learning solutions to that challenge.
