Cornerstone Resources Launches “Lead with Confidence” Course for Modern Managers
16th April 2026, 10:39 am
Cornerstone Resources has officially launched its flagship management program, “Lead with Confidence,” designed to bridge the gap between “doing the work” and “leading the people.” As businesses face increasing pressure to balance productivity with employee wellbeing, this course offers a practical lifeline for managers at all levels.
The Core Mission: Beyond the Theory
Unlike traditional academic leadership models, “Lead with Confidence” is built on the realities of the UK workplace. The program acknowledges that many managers are promoted because they are great at their jobs, but often find themselves “winging it” when it comes to managing people.
“Leading people is demanding,” says the team at Cornerstone. “You’re expected to manage performance, support wellbeing, and handle difficult conversations, often without clear guidance.”
Key Pillars of the Program
The course is structured around four critical areas of development:
- Foundations of Leadership: Shifting the mindset from “individual contributor” to “leader.” This includes building trust and establishing psychological safety within a team.
- The Art of Delegation: Moving away from micromanagement with a structured five-step approach to delegating tasks with clarity and accountability.
- Resilient Leadership: Tools for identifying burnout and emotional overload, both in the manager and the team, to maintain long-term performance
- Clarity & Feedback: Mastering the “feedback loop” to deliver critiques that build skills rather than breaking morale, and holding team members accountable with confidence.
Who Is It For?
Cornerstone has tailored the experience for three specific groups:
- New & Emerging Managers: Those stepping into people management for the first time.
- Mid-Level Managers: Experienced leaders looking to refresh their approach and improve communication.
- Business Owners: Leaders who need practical frameworks to manage staff while handling high-level strategy.
Real-World Impact
Early participants have praised the course for its “authentic” approach. Joanne Alvey, a Legal Director, noted, “The balance of theory and practical work was perfect… it had a profound effect on my understanding of how to lead effectively while being true to my values.”
The program is delivered via live, interactive workshops (not pre-recorded videos), allowing for real-time discussion and peer-to-peer learning.
We have two cohorts, one starting next week (22 April) with a few spaces left and we’re also taking bookings for the September-October cohort.
