Cowgills has been revealed as the latest corporate sponsor to the North West region of The Association of Women in Property (WiP), a not for profit organisation which provides support services to over 1,000 members across the UK. The company will be lead sponsor of all WiP events across the North West region until July 2022. Cowgills is one of the few business advisory firms with a specialist property and construction team, led by partner Stuart Stead. The partnership will enable Cowgills to connect with advisors and business owners in the property and construction industry across the region.
Women in Property operates 13 regional branches which are each led by a committee of industry volunteers who collaborate by sharing knowledge and best practice via a national Board.
Commenting on the partnership Cowgills partner Stuart Stead said: “Women in Property is a great fit with our business as we work with SME property and construction companies across the region, many of which are managed or owned by successful female professionals. My own route into the property industry came through the indomitable property developer Carol Ainscow of Artisan, a woman unafraid to speak her mind or ruffle feathers! Carol barnstormed through the male-dominated property world of the 1990s and had a significant influence on my career direction so it’s great to be able to support the next generation of female business leaders in the sector.”
He continued: “WiP enhances the professional life chances of women across the property and construction sector through its superb events, networking and mentoring and we’re excited to be part of those over the coming year and to meet both seasoned professionals and young people at the very beginning of their careers.”
Cowgills provide cradle to grave advice, including business growth, funding and finance, tax and audit as well as wealth and succession planning so is able to support and guide people with very specialist knowledge and insight into the workings of the P&C industry.
Eleanor Ogilvie Chair of Women in Property North West said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the team at Cowgills over the next 12 months in support of our North West branch and annual events calendar. Sponsorship plays a major part in supporting our organisation and enables us to offer a wide range of high quality events which are both online and in person providing the best of both worlds. Our events are for women at every stage of their career and our full programme caters for every requirement, from personal development and technical ‘how to’ guides, to site visits and networking opportunities. We exist for the benefit of our members and this sponsorship will enable us to continue to provide even more fantastic events as we return to some form of normality in the sector.”
