The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Innovation Centre is for Greater Manchester businesses who want to access innovation support in advanced materials and manufacturing. The programme, funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Investment Zone, provides fully funded innovation development programmes such as the AMMIC Sprint, a four-day course designed to help businesses tackle critical challenges using cutting edge digital manufacturing technologies.
Held at the award-winning additive manufacturing centre, PrintCity, AMMIC Sprint will help you to:
Uncover your internal opportunities for innovation, and turn your pain points into a problem statement.
- The tech we’ll cover in this course includes automation, smart sensors, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and digital twins.
- Validate early concepts and take a tech deep dive.
- Define a clear value proposition, prototype and pilot test.
- Prepare for implementation and change management through creating an action plan.

Greater Manchester Electrochemical Hydrogen Cluster Masterclass with Bosch – 3 October 2025, 9:30am
The Greater Manchester Electrochemical Hydrogen Cluster (GMEHC) helps to exploit the commercial potential of hydrogen and other fuel cell technologies as sustainable energy sources.
GMECH is one of the UK Government’s Innovation Accelerators, and has partnered with global leaders Bosch to increase innovation readiness in the region with the view of introducing new products, services and concepts to market. Bosch are also looking for North West-based businesses that are interested in finding out more about the potential of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, and to potentially become part of their supply chain to build the region’s first electrolyser stack.
Businesses in the production, process, supply and manufacturing sectors are invited to attend this fully funded masterclass.
