Introduce yourself:
I’m Emma Hunt, and I’ve recently moved into the Growth Team at Azets, working in business development. Previously, I was Office Manager for our Manchester and Stockport offices, where I built strong relationships across the business, something I now get to carry into this new role, helping connect people and opportunities.
Career highlight:
I started in an administrative role, so I’m a big advocate for business support teams. My career highlight was in 2024, when I received a highly commended award at the Office Management Awards — a proud moment that celebrated both my work and the essential role support professionals play.
Name three words that describe your personality:
Genuine, approachable, collaborative
What’s the best thing about pro-manchester?
The best thing about pro-manchester is the community you become part of. The events aren’t just about swapping business cards — they’re genuinely informative, with tangible takeaways you can use to grow personally and professionally. What I also love is how inclusive it feels. If you’re not naturally comfortable with networking, the pro-manchester team are brilliant at making introductions and helping you find your feet. It’s equally valuable for young professionals who are just starting to build their networks and shape their careers. At the end of the day, people connect with people — and pro-manchester gives you the perfect environment to build relationships, strengthen your professional brand, and feel part of something bigger.
What are your priorities for 2025?
To meet as many interesting people as possible!
What do you think are the most important things going on in Manchester at the moment?
Manchester’s buzzing right now. The arts and culture scene is thriving, with new exhibitions, performances, and festivals popping up all the time. The food scene is just as exciting — from independents to fine dining, there’s so much variety and energy. All of this is excellent for the local business economy too, driving footfall, investment, and opportunity. Overall, the vibe is creative, diverse, and full of momentum.
Favourite meeting place in Manchester?
I really like San Carlo’s, fantastic service and the food is always delicious!
Are their any particular types of businesses that you would like to meet?
I enjoy chatting with all kinds of people, you never know where the most interesting conversations can lead. From a business perspective, I’d love to meet those in the SME space who are open to fresh ideas and new ways of looking at their business or personal finances. It’s often those open-minded conversations that spark the best connections.
